LE SHUFFLE PROJECT
Hot tunes, great grooves, two passionate tap dancers and two talented guitarists creating music in various forms- this is Le Shuffle Project. In Concert, le Shuffle Project is simply “Shuffle!” with tappers Mbango Baer and Ruby Boukabou fronting an all star musical line up with Alex Stuart and Daniel Hunter on guitar and regular guest artists Jay Golden on bass and world music guru Tamango on tap (the creator of Urban Tap, New York).
Shuffle! starts with a simple groove and finishes in a powerful rhythmic euphoria. It’s the rendez-vous of rhythm with influences from jazz, blues, funk, latin, soul, rock and African music, creating a unique but somehow deeply familiar sound with infectious melodies and awakening beats. Originals tunes are weaved through evocatively arranged standards.
Le Shuffle Project proposes not just a show but a journey, where the audience is more than merely observing, rather passengers on a rich and inspiring musical voyage.
Le Shuffle Project has been developed in the studios and popular venues of Paris following regular collaborations with The Paris Tap Crew and The Paris Tap Jam of which Ruby and Mbango are founding members.
